The ETF and ETP provider WisdomTree will on 19 March announce the launch of the Investor Solutions platform, with the objective of helping asset managers to more effectively engage in dialog with their clients and prospective clients, and to modernise their portfolios to meet the changing needs of investors. This programme includes the Digital Portfolio Developer (DPD), a sophisticated portfolio construction tool aimed at investors. DPD, available to professional clients on the WisdomTree website, is a resource for analysing the current positions in portfolios, identifying opportunities for improvement, and running stress tests on portfolios according to various market scenarios. After a successful launch in the United States and Canada in 2017, DPD is now available in France. “The asset management sector is changing fast, and we feel that technology is on the cutting edge of the market, and that it will contribute to more efficient and competitive practices in the asset management profession,” says Frank Spiteri, head of distribution for Europe. “We are convinced that this tool will offer them a way to improve their investment decisions and to free up time to study new ways of interacting with their clients.” The new tool, which now includes over 60,000 investment funds and ETPs, can be used to develop stress test scenarios. Using analytical data obtained from institutional clients by the fintech and financial analysis company FinMason, investors can compare the hypothetical performance of an initial portfolio and a portfolio recommended by the tool for various market scenarios. Investors can also choose and compare two portfolios side by side on the basis of key indicators, to help them identify underlying risks and to find opportunities to improve performance or income, and/or to reduce costs. “WisdomTree is committed to making useful digital applications available to asset managers, based on very high quality analytical data,” says David Abner, head of WisdomTree for Europe. “With thousands of users in the United States and Canada, we have observed that the Digital Portfolio Developer is a high-performance tool which enables quick and effective analysis of client portfolios and prospective portfolios. We are convinced that this technological solution offers asset managers a way to make effective performance evaluations and to carry out certain stress tests to strengthen their activities.” The Investor Solutions programme also offers users access to experts and their research in the fields of macroeconomics, retirement, and recruitment, including Jeremy J. Siegel, senior investment strategy adviser at WisdomTree, Joseph F. Coughlin, Ph.D., founder and director of AgeLab, a research programme dedicated to the elderly at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Randy Street, managing partner at the consulting and recruitment firm ghSMART.
