La société de gestion spécialiste du smart beta Ossiam a annoncé, lundi 20 juillet, la cotation sur Euronext Paris de Ossiam Shiller Barclays CAPE US Sector Value TR UCITS ETF 1C (EUR), un nouvel ETF qui réplique à la hausse comme à la baisse l’indice de stratégie Shiller Barclays CAPE US Sector Value Net TR Index. Les indices Shiller Barclays CAPE Sector, développés conjointement par Barclays et le Professeur Robert Shiller, s’appuient sur une stratégie de rotation sectorielle et utilisent le Cyclically Adjusted PE ratio (CAPE ratio) comme indicateur de valorisation. Ce ratio permet de déterminer si un portefeuille d’actions est potentiellement sur-évalué ou sous-évalué, en comparant la valeur actuelle du portefeuille à la moyenne des résultats des sociétés le composant, corrigée de l’inflation sur 10 ans pour atténuer les effets des cycles économiques.L’ETF d’Ossiam est le second de sa gamme à répliquer un indice de stratégie de la gamme Shiller Barclays CAPE Sector Value. Le précédent avait été lancé le 12 février 2015 avec un indice concentré sur les valeurs européennes.Le nouveau fonds a deux classes d’actions (en dollar et en euro). Son actif sous-gestion est de plus de 10 millions d’euros. Les frais totaux sur encours sont de 0,65 % par an.
Le gestionnaire d’actifs immobiliers Allianz Real Estate a annoncé, ce lundi 20 juillet, la nomination de Barbara Koreniouguine, 48 ans, au poste de directrice générale d’Allianz Real Estate France. A compter du 1er septembre 2015, elle dirigera les activités d’Allianz Real Estate en France, en Belgique et aux Pays-Bas. Rattachée à Olivier Piani, elle sera également membre du comité exécutif d’Allianz Real Estate. Elle remplace ainsi Olivier Wigniolle, directeur général d’Allianz Real Estate France de 2009 à mars, qui est récemment devenu directeur général d’Icade.Barbara Koreniouguine a passé les six dernières années chez BNP Paribas Real Estate où elle a été successivement directrice générale déléguée de BNP Paribas Real Estate Residential and Corporate Property, présidente exécutive de BNP Paribas Real Estate Commercial and Residential Development et, enfin, membre du conseil d’administration et directrice des opérations («chief operating officer») de BNP Paribas Real Estate. Le fonds souverain de Singapour GIC vient d’acquérir une participation de 35% au capital de Via Parque Shopping, un centre commercial situé à Rio de Janeiro au Brésil, pour un montant de 41,89 millions de dollars américain. GIC a acquis cette participation auprès d’Aliansce Shopping Centers, un développeur brésilien de centres commerciaux. «Cette opération reflète la confiance de GIC à la fois dans les perspectives de croissance à long terme du marché retail brésilien et dans l’attractivité de Via Parque Shopping en tant qu’actif retail», a commenté GIC dans un communiqué.
La société de biotechnologie Sensorion a annoncé la réalisation, lundi 20 juillet, d’une augmentation de capital par placement privé à l’international, à hauteur de 8 millions d’euros. A la suite de son introduction sur le marché Alternext Paris en avril dernier, Sensorion a procédé à ce jour à une levée de fonds complémentaire auprès d’un family office international spécialisé dans les sciences de la vie en vue de soutenir le développement de la société.L’entité a ainsi émis 800.000 actions nouvelles d’une valeur nominale de 0,10 euros pour un montant total de 8 millions d’euros. L’opération a été mise en œuvre à un prix négocié représentant une décote de 20% par rapport à la moyenne des cours de clôture de l’action Sensorion des quarante-cinq derniers jours de bourse précédant le lancement de l’opération.

However, according to figures from Swiss Fund Data SA and Morningstar, capital net inflows represented CHF1.8bn.More precisely, strategic investment funds, with CHF1.025bn, were most popular. At the other extreme, money market funds saw the heaviest divestment. Net redemptions totalled CHF0.37bn. Between these two extremes are equity funds (+CHF773m) and hedge funds (+CHF405m). Bond funds saw net ouflows of CHF0.56bn.The rankings of the most popular fund categories saw no change, the Swiss Funds & Asset Mangement Association (SFAMA) states: equity funds represent 40.79% of the total, bond funds 31.59%, strategic investment funds 12.78%, money market funds 6.50%. Equity funds have seen the greatest variation in their asset levels (-CHF1.26bn), followed by strategic investment funds (-CHF1.29bn), bond funds (-CHF3.77bn) and money market funds (-CHF2.8bn).

From 1 September 2015, she will be direcror of the activities of Allianz Real Estate in France, Belgium and the Netherlands. She will report to Olivier Piani, and will also be a member of the executive board at Allianz Real Estate. She replaces Olivier Wigniolle, CEO of Allianz Real Estate France from 2009 until March this year, who has recently become CEO of Icade. Barbara Koreniouguine has spent the past six years at BNP Paribas Real Estate, where she served successively as deputy CEO of BNP Paribas Real Estate Residential and Corporate Property, executive chairman of BNP Paribas Real Estate Commercial and Residential Development, and lastly, as a member of the board of directors and chief operating officer at BNP Paribas Real Estate. Before joining BNP Paribas Real Estate in 2008, she was managing director of Icade Tertial.
First Eagle Investment Management announced on monday 20th of july, a definitive agreement under which a majority long-term investment in First Eagle would be made by private equity funds managed by Blackstone and Corsair Capital as well as clients of the two firms. The investment, which reflects a total enterprise value of approximately $4 billion, is designed to ensure that First Eagle will continue to operate independently and to maintain its investment-centric culture.Additionally, as a result of the transaction, First Eagle employees will have an opportunity to meaningfully increase their equity ownership in the firm.The investment is being made through First Eagle’s holding company, Arnhold and S. Bleichroeder Holdings Inc. The transaction includes the sale by TA Associates of its entire investment in First Eagle.First Eagle is an independent, privately-held asset management firm which manages approximately $100 billion in assets on behalf of institutional and individual clients. First Eagle’s senior management and investment leadership fully support the long-term investment by Blackstone and Corsair, will retain significant ownership in the firm, and will continue to run the business on a day-to-day basis. The family shareholders, who are members of the founding Arnhold family, will remain substantial shareholders in First Eagle and will retain their role on the Board following the closing of the transaction. Blackstone and Corsair will exercise their oversight of the business at the Board level and will not be involved in the day-to-day management of the firm.The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2015 subject to receipt of consent by both First Eagle’s mutual fund board and fund shareholders, as well as customary regulatory approvals.

The initiative aims to provide issuers and active investors in social areas with guidelines for the creation and issue of social and sustainable bonds, “which encourage transparency and integrity as these new markets develop,” a statement says. The opinion of the executive committee of the Green Bond Principles will be sought with respect to this addendum. By the recommendations of the SSBA, social and sustainable bonds aim to complement the GBP in order to meet the various needs of these new market segments. They place the emphasis on the use of the product and on their application to social and sustainable projects, as well as to adequate reporting associated with social and sustainable bonds. As for the GBP, the recommendations draw on the example of the recent first issues of social and sustainable bonds by various issuers, and offer a framework for future issuers to directly finance social and sustainable projects.

GIC acquired the stake from Aliansce Shopping Centers, a Brazilian developer of shopping centres. “This operation reflects GIC’s confidence both in the long-term growth outlooks for the Brazilian market and the attractiveness of Via Parque Shopping as a retail asset,” GIC said in a statement.

Due to this performance, net subscriptions total USD39.7bn at the end of first quarter 2015, bringing total assets in the industry to USD2.970trn worldwide.The largest hedge funds in the sector, those with over USD5bn in assets under management, accounted for the lion’s share of inflows taking in USD15.7bn in net inflows in second quarter. For first half overall, the same firms took in USD29bn, or 71% of total net inflows. As a result, the largest players in the industry now manage about 69% of global assets in hedge funds, although they represent only 6% of the number of asset management firms present in this business sector, HFR notes.Hedge funds with USD1bn to USD5bn in assets under management, meanwhile, posted inflows of USD1.8bn in second quarter, and USD5.3bn in first half. The other firms, with less than USD1bn in assets under management, representing 83% of the total number of operating hedge funds, received USD4bn in net inflows in second quarter, and USD6bn in first half.

He replaces Hans-Jörg Frantzmann, who left the business in June. Engler has over 20 years of experience in the area of institutional asset management and pension funds. Before that, he worked at UBS Global Asset management and Dresdner Bank Investment Group. In his new role at Fidelity, he will report to Klaus Mössle, director of the entire institutional team. As a member of the board of directors at FIL Investment Management GmbH, Engler will be responsble for the development and assistance to institutional clients, and the implementation of investment strategies over the full range of Fidelity products.

Par ailleurs, nous allons réduire la duration de la poche obligataire, qui est actuellement de 6 ans et demi, pour la ramener progressivement dans les 2 prochaines années à 4 ans, car nous craignons en effet à terme la remontée des taux d’intérêt ». Jusqu'à présent, la poche obligataire était équitablement répartie entre obligations corporates et souveraines. Pour la poche actions, la Fondation a fait le choix d’une diversification internationale, marchés émergents compris, avec un biais sur le dollar américain car pas mal de leurs engagements implicites sont en dollars. Allianz Global Investors (AllianzGI) a nommé Johnnie Barnett au poste de directeur en charge du développement de son activité auprès des institutionnels au Royaume-Uni. Basé à Londres, il sera chargé de gérer et de développer la base de clients institutionnels du gestionnaire d’actifs au Royaume-Uni. A ce titre, il sera rattaché à Philip Dawes, responsable des institutionnels au Royaume-Uni chez AllianzGI. La nouvelle recrue, qui compte 10 ans d’expérience dans l’industrie de la gestion d’actifs, travaillait dernièrement chez Northern Trust Asset Management où il a passé plus de trois ans en qualité de directeur du développement pour l’activité auprès des investisseurs institutionnels.
Adela Martin, jusque-là directrice de la banque privée de Bankinter depuis 2009, a quitté le groupe bancaire espagnol pour rejoindre Santander, rapporte le site spécialisé Funds People reprenant une information de Voz Populi. A ce stade, aucune information n’a été dévoilée sur le poste qu’elle pourrait occuper au sein de Santander. Chez Bankinter, Adela Martin pourrait être remplacée par Gonzalo Anton, jusque-là directeur commercial au sein de la banque privée de Bankinter, selon Voz Populi qui évoque des sources proches du dossier.
Fonditel, la société de gestion de Telefonica, a recruté Paloma Lorenzo en tant que gérante obligataire, rapporte le site spécialisé Funds People. L’intéressée travaillait précédemment chez Aviva Gestion, où elle responsable de l’obligataire pour la filiale d’Aviva en Espagne. Paloma Lorenzo avait intégré le groupe Aviva en 2004, initialement au sein du département en charge du contrôle des risques. En 2008, elle rejoint Aviva Gestion en qualité de gérante avant d’être nommée responsable de la gestion obligataire en 2009.
Credit Suisse a nommé Andreas Müller au poste de gérant principal de ses solutions marchés émergents au sein de son équipe dédiée aux solutions multi classes d’actifs à l’échelle mondiale («Global Multi Asset Classe Solutions»), révèle Citywire Global. Cette nomination fait suite au départ d’Andreas Hecker, qui a quitté l’équipe de sélection de fonds de Credit Suisse à la fin du mois d’avril. Andreas Müller travaille chez Credit Suisse depuis 2005, ayant officié à Zurich et en Australie. Dernièrement, il a occupé le poste de gérant de portefeuille senior au sein de l’équipe fonds de fonds de la banque suisse.
Arpad « Arki » Busson, un des gérants de hedge fund les plus connus au monde, a été nommé président exécutif (« executive chairman ») de Gottex Fund Management en remplacement de Joachim Gottschalk. Ce dernier, âgé de 69, a en effet décidé de démissionner de son poste de directeur général et de « chairman » au sein de la société qu’il a fondé en 1992. Gottex Fund Management s’est toutefois lancé à la recherche d’un nouveau directeur général.
