Le gestionnaire d’actifs britannique Schroders vient de nommer avec effet immédiat Rhian Davies au sein de son conseil d’administration en qualité d’administratrice indépendante non-exécutive. L’intéressée est également membre du comité d’audit et des risques et du comité de nomination. Rhian Davies, 50 ans, est comptable de formation et elle travaillait jusqu’au 30 juin 2015 en qualité d’associée («Partner») chez Electra Partners, une société de gestion de fonds de private equity qu’elle avait rejoint en 1992. Rhian Davies demeure «senior adviser» chez Electra Partners.
Le gestionnaire d’actifs américain Pimco vient de lancer une version Ucits de stratégie «managed futures» supervisée Vineer Bhansali, spécialiste des investissements quantitatifs, révèle Citywire Global. Le fonds, baptisé Pimco Trends Managed Futures Strategy, a été lancé debuté juillet et est domicilié à Dublin. Il s’agit d’un fonds multi classes d’actifs qui réplique un fonds déjà existant aux Etats-Unis lancé fin 2013 et affichant 423 millions de dollars d’actifs sous gestion, précise le site d’information britannique. Ce nouveau produit est enregistré pour sa commerciale à travers toute l’Europe, et notamment en Allemagne, en Italie et au Royaume-Uni.

Lyxor International Asset Management a lancé, ce mardi 14 juillet, un nouvel ETF obligataire sur Xetra, la plateforme de l’opérateur boursier allemand Deutsche Börse. Baptisé Lyxor Ucits ETF Barclays Floating Rate Euro 0-7Y, ce nouveau fonds indiciel offre aux investisseurs un accès aux obligations d’entreprises avec un taux d’intérêt variable. Cet ETF suit la performance de l’indice Barclays Euro Corporate FRN 0-7Y Enhanced Duration qui comprend des obligations d’entreprises libellées en euro avec un taux d’intérêt variable. Ces obligations d’entreprises doivent avoir une maturité résiduelle allant jusqu’à sept ans.

The new recruit will be based in New York and will report to Joe Moody, head of the international solutions unit. Kumar joins from Aon Hewitt, where he had been a partner since September 2010.

As of 30 June 2015, assets under management totalled USD930bn, compared with USD879bn as of 30 June 2014. Over the past quarter, the US bank has posted net inflows of USD14.6bn, of which USD8.6bn were for long-term funds, and USD6bn for liquidity products. As of 30 June 2015, GWIM had earned net profits of USD690m, down by 5% compared with USD726m in net profits in second quarter 2014. This is due to lower interest rates, but first and foremost to an increase in costs associated with an increase in recruitment. The GWIM unit has recruited more than 850 advisers in the past twelve months. Meanwhile, its revenues have held stable year on year, at a total of USD4.57bn as of 30 June 2015, compared with USD4.58bn as of 30 June 2014. Taking all activities into account, Bank of America Merrill Lynch has doubled its quarterly net profits, for a total of USD5.32bn as of 30 June 2015, compared with USD2.29bn as of second quarter 2014. Revenues came to USD22.34bn as of the end of 2015, up by 1.75% compared with second quarter 2014.

NextStage, the new long-term vehicle from NextStage AM, has assisted the founder-majority partners to finance the development of the group internationally with owners’ equity, including the creation of affiliates in the United States and in China, a statement says. The investment is also expected to allow for new innovative services to be developed, based on the social network boom and the emergence of an economy in which individuals are increasingly connected.

The tracker fund has been listed on Xetra, the platform from the German stock market operator Deutsche Börse, since 14 July. It will be listed on the London Stock Exchange on 20 July 2015. The vehicle, the db x-trackers II Harvest CSI China Sovereign Bond UCITS ETF, is an ETF which physically replicates the performance of an index, the CSI Gilt-Edged Medium Term Treasury Note Index, which inludes 35 bonds from continental China denominated in renminbi (“onshore bonds,”) issued by the Chinese government. The returns for the underlying index are currently 3.3% with an averge duration of 5 years. The annual total expense ratio (TER) comes to 0.55% and the fund will be managed by Harvest Global Investments. The launch of the ETF follows the launch of the db x-trackers Harvest CSI300 Index Ucits ETF, the first ETF to physically replicate the Chinese category A domestic equity index, the CSI300, in January 2014.

The new tracker fund, Lyxor Ucits ETF Barclays Floating Rate Euro 0-7Y, offers investors access to corporate bonds with a variable interest rate. The ETF tracks the performance of the Barclays Euro Corporate FRN 0-7Y Enhanced Duration index, which includes corporate bonds denominated in euros with a variable interest rate. These corporate bonds must have a remaining time to maturity of up to seven years.

The index, which joins the FTSE Global Factor Index Series range for US equity markets, will rely on a multi-factoral strategy based on quality, low volatility and the performance of US stock market large and midcaps. Each share composing the index will be limited to 5% on a quarterly basis to prevent overconcentration on a particular share, FTSE Russell says in a statement.

In one month, they lost EUR22.02bn, causing a decline in overall assets of roughly 4.4%. According to data from Europerformance SIX Telekurs, assets under management as of the end of the month totalled EUR823.02bn. Only funds invested in equities stood as an exception to the general rule, with positive net inflows. However, the other asset classes all saw net redemptions, with the key being categories invested in the euro zone, with very heavy outflows. For their part, market effects were negative for all funds.

Danske Invest, la société de gestion du groupe Danske Bank, vient d’étoffer sa gamme de fonds actions et obligataires avec le lancement de nouveaux produits, a annoncé la société. Ces deux nouvelles stratégies, domiciliées au Luxembourg, cible d’une part les marchés émergents et, de l’autre, les actions à haut dividende. Le premier fonds, baptisé Danske Invest Global High Dividend, investit dans les actions internationales en se concentrant principalement sur les entreprises distribuant un dividende élevé. Il se concentrera sur une quarantaine d’entreprises, dont 50% d’entreprises européennes déjà présentes dans son fonds Europe High Dividend, Danske Invest dans un communiqué. La gestion du fonds est assurée par Peter Nielsen, gérant de portefeuille en chef, qui gère déjà le fonds Danske Invest Europe High Dividend.Le deuxième fonds, baptisé Danske Invest Emerging Markets Debt Hard Currency, investit principalement dans les obligations gouvernementales des pays émergents et des obligations émises par des entreprises détenues par l’Etat. Ces obligations sont libellées en dollar ou en euro, le risque de devise étant couvert en euro, précise la société de gestion. Ce fonds est géré par une équipe dirigée par Bent Lystbaek.
Nico Langedijk, l’un des responsables de la plate-forme de produits structurés BNP Paribas Markets aux Pays-Bas, quitte la société après quatre ans de présence, rapporte le site spécialisé Fondsnieuws. Il indique sur son profil LinkedIn être «entre deux emplois». Il s’est notamment distingué avec le lancement de l’Equity Index-Linked Green Bond, un produit structuré lié à l’Ethical Europe Equity Index. Nico Langedijk a travaillé précédemment chez Goldman Sachs et Barclays.
Le groupe bancaire Andbank a recruté Pilar Enriquez et Carlos Lopez en qualité de directeurs pour sa banque privée à Madrid, rapporte le site spécialisé Funds People. Les deux professionnels arrivent en provenance de Barclays Espagne, rachetées récemment par CaixaBank, et comptent plus de 15 ans d’expérience dans le secteur de la gestion de fortune. Pilar Enriquez était précédemment directrice de patrimoine chez Barclays au cours des 11 dernières années, responsable plus particulièrement des clients de grandes fortunes. Pour sa part, Carlos López occupait le poste de directeur du bureau de Madrid chez Barclays, fonction qu’il a assumée au cours des huit dernières années.
Eric Conrads, spécialiste des actions des pays d’Amérique latine chez NN Investment Partners (NN IP), a quitté la société de gestion pour rejoindre Zurich Insurance où il occupera un poste de stratégiste multi classes d’actifs, révèle Citywire Global. L’intéressé avait intégré le groupe néerlandais en 1996 en tant que gérant de portefeuille avant de partir rejoindre le hedge fund Armada Capital. Puis, en août 2010, Eric Conrads était revenu chez NN IP. Chez Zurich Insurance, qu’il a rejoint début juillet, il officiera en qualité de stratégiste multi classes d’actifs sur l’Amérique latine. Il sera également membre de l’équipe mondiale d’allocation d’actifs.
