The British asset management firm Jupiter Asset Management (Jupiter AM), with assets totalling EUR47.5bn, has appointed Matteo Dante Perruccio as head of international key accounts and strategic partnerships. This is a newly-created position, to assist in the international expansion of the company in Continental Europe and Asia.The creation of the position is a sign of the “importance for Jupiter of developing and deepening its relationships with its international clients,” a statement says. “The appointment of Perruccio is a sign of the interest Jupiter AM has expressed in international growth.” Jupiter, founded in 1985, now distributes its range of equity, fixed income and multi-asset strategies in 12 countries.As executive adviser, Perruccio has most recently been responsible for setting up the activities of Jupiter in Milan, Italy. Before that, he spent eight years as non-executive director of Jupiter, and has 30 years of experience in the asset management industry. He has served in a variety of roles, in part at Pioneer Investments, and eventually served as CEO of Pioneer Investment Management SgR. He has also worked at Olympia in France and at Hermes in the United Kingdom.In his new position, Perruccio will be joined by David Conway, director of international sales, an expert in distribution who created the first office for Jupiter in Asia, in Singapore. Perruccio will report directly to Nick Ring, global head of distribution at Jupiter.
