Jason Humphreys a rejoint le gestionnaire d’actifs VAM Funds en juillet au poste de responsable du développement et des relations clients pour l’Asie du sud-est, rapporte le site spécialisé International Adviser. L’intéressé a travaillé pendant près de 15 en Malaisie en qualité de conseiller financier pour plusieurs entreprises dont Montpelier Group et Globaleye, selon son profil LinkedIn.
L’activité de gestion d’actifs d’Intesa Sanpaolo, représentée notamment par sa filiale Eurizon Capital, a vu ses encours atteindre 324 milliards d’euros au 30 juin 2015, en hausse de 7,5% par rapport à fin 2014 et de 15,8% par rapport à fin juin 2014, a annoncé la banque italienne à l’occasion de la publication de ses résultats semestriels. Au cours des six premiers mois de l’année, sa collecte nette s’est établie à environ 22 milliards d’euros, dont environ 9 milliards d’euros de transferts d’actifs sous administration devenus des actifs sous gestion, précise Intesa Sanpaolo.Au terme du premier semestre, les revenus opérationnels du pôle «Asset Management» sont ressortis à 371 millions d’euros, en hausse de 50,2% par rapport au premier semestre 2014. Son résultat net s’établit à 223 millions d’euros au 30 juin 2015 contre 120 millions d’euros au 30 juin 2014, soit une progression de 85,8%.En prenant en compte l’ensemble de ses activités et de son périmètre, Intesa Sanpaolo a dégagé un bénéfice net de 2,004 milliards d’euros, en hausse de 178% par rapport au premier semestre 2014. Il s’agit de son meilleur résultat net semestriel depuis le premier semestre 2008.
A l’occasion de la publication de ses résultats semestriels, la société de gestion italienne Anima Holding a fait état d’une collecte nette d’environ 4,5 milliards d’euros à l’issue du premier semestre 2015, contre 5 milliards d’euros au premier semestre 2014. Grâce à cette performance commerciale, combiné à un effet de marché positif, ses actifs sous gestion atteignent 63,1 milliards d’euros contre 57,1 milliards d’euros fin 2014, soit une croissance de 10,5%. Au 30 juin 2015, ses commissions nettes s’établissent à 103,3 millions d’euros contre 86,4 millions d’euros au 30 juin 2014, en hausse de 19,5% sur un an. «Cette augmentation est principalement liée à la croissance des actifs sous gestion», note Anima dans un communiqué. En intégrant les commissions de performance, ses revenus totaux ressortent à 159,4 millions d’euros, en progression de 41% par rapport aux 113 millions d’euros du premier semestre 2014. Enfin, au 30 juin 2015, Anima a dégagé un bénéfice net de 71,7 millions d’euros, contre 40,3 millions au 30 juin 2014, soit un bond en avant de 78% sur un an.En marge de la publication de ses résultats, Anima a annoncé la nomination de Laura Furlan en qualité d’administratrice en remplacement de Bernardo Mingrone. L’intéressée est actuellement responsable retail («Head of Retail») de BancoPosta, la filiale bancaire de Poste Italiane Group. Elle avait précédemment travaillé chez Intesa Sanpaolo, après avoir officié pendant 8 ans dans des cabinets de conseils dont AT Kearney.
Sanjay Gupta a été nommé au poste nouvellement créé de « senior director » en charge du private equity au sein de la Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, basé à New York, rapporte Pensions & Investments qui cite un porte-parole de l’institution. L’intéressé était jusque-là administrateur executif (« executive director ») au sein de la société de capital-investissement Adveq où il supervisait la stratégie « buyout » aux Etats-Unis.

At a presentation of its results, Anima announced the appointment of Laura Furlan as director, replacing Bernardo Mingrone. Laura Furlan is currently head of retail at BancoPosta, the banking affiliate of the Poste Italiane Group. She previously worked at Intesa Sanpaolo, after working for eight years at consulting firms, including AT Kearney.

This is its best semiannual net profit since the first half of 2008.

With a market share of 3.9%, Ibercaja Gestion now becomes the eighth-largest asset management firm in Spain in terms of assets. At the end of first half 2015, the Ibercaja Banco group had earned net profits of EUR69.7m, compared with EUR341.8m in first half, a decline of 79.6% year on year.

The team is led by CIO Frank Fischer, and includes nine people. The team is responsible for the management of five institutional mandates. Fischer joins the firm from CVM Value Invest, where he had been a manager. Shareholder Value Management has over EUR1bn in assets under management.

Schiff, who joined Eaton Vance in 1985, has served as portfolio manager for the Eaton Vance Government Obligations fund since 1990, and for the Eaton Vance Short Duration Government Income fund since its launch in 2002. Schiff will be replaced by Andrew Szczurowski, who will become the sole portfolio manager for the two funds. He had already been co-manager of the vehicles alongside Schiff since July 2014. Szczurowski will continue to serve as co-manager of the Eaton Vance Short Duration Strategic Income Fund and other closed funds.

The BGF Global Equity fund (USD243m in assets) will be merged into the BGF Global Opportunities fund (USD125m in assets). The two funds, domiciled in Luxembourg, are co-managed by Ian Jamieson and Tom Callan. While at least 70% of net assets in each of the two funds are invested in international equities, BlackRock notes that 90% of positions are common to the two vehicles. The BGF Global Opportunities fund was launched in February 1996, while the BGF Global Equity fund was launched in 2005. The latter fund will be closed to all new subscription and redemption orders from 18 Septemnber 2015. The merger will be finalized on 25 September 2015.

Gilbert had worked at Axa Investment Managers as a portfolio manager and fixed income analyst. Blyth, for his part, arrives from Kleinwort Benson, where he had covered collective investment organisations in all sectors. Todd had previously worked at the Coutts private bank, where he was an analyst for discretionary investment portfolios.
Les sanctions occidentales imposées à la Russie pour son rôle dans le conflit ukrainien pourraient à terme amputer son produit intérieur brut (PIB) de 9%, contre un impact immédiat compris entre 1 et 1,5%, a jugé hier le Fonds monétaire international (FMI). S’appuyant sur les travaux d’une mission réalisée en mai, il prévoit pour ce pays une croissance de 0,2% en 2016 après une contraction de 3,4% cette année, puis une croissance annuelle de l’ordre de 1,5% à moyen terme.
Le département américain du Commerce a annoncé hier que les dépenses de consommation des ménages avaient augmenté de 0,2% en juin après une hausse de 0,7% en mai (0,9% en première estimation). La hausse de juin, la plus faible en quatre mois en raison notamment d’un tassement de la demande dans l’automobile, est conforme aux attentes des économistes.
L’indice définitif des directeurs d’achats (PMI) Markit dans l’industrie manufacturière est ressorti à 52,4 en juillet, contre une estimation «flash» de 52,2, et un niveau de 52,5 atteint en juin. Standard & Poor’s (S&P) a abaissé hier la perspective de la note de crédit «AA+» de l’Union européenne (UE) de stable à négative. L’agence justifie cette décision par la crise grecque ainsi que par un risque de voir le Royaume-Uni quitter l’UE. Elle souligne la mise à contribution répétée de la région pour soutenir certains Etats-membres. Selon S&P, il y a dès lors plus d’une chance sur trois de voir la note de l’UE dégradée dans les deux ans.
Le président américain a dévoilé hier la version définitive de son plan de lutte contre les émissions de gaz à effet de serre produites par les centrales électriques fonctionnant au charbon. Apicil a déjà investi 5 millions d’euros dans les fonds de prêts aux PME. Si ce montant représente un très léger pourcentage au sein du portefeuille financier, l’institution compte fortement augmenter ses investissements dans cette classe d’actifs en 2015. «Nous avons pour objectif de monter jusqu’à 3% de nos investissements, a expliqué Bertrand Jounin, directeur de la gestion d’actifs d’Apicil, à la rédaction d’Instit Invest. L’enveloppe de 5 millions d’euros était un test. Il fut très positif, c’est pourquoi nous allons renouveler l’expérience de manière plus systématique cette année.» Apicil a d’ailleurs embauché un analyste crédit cette année pour mieux développer cette classe d’actifs et mieux contrôler les sociétés dans lesquelles elle est investie. «Nous nous sommes également intéressés aux EuroPP, a indiqué Bertrand Jounin.
