En préalable à son introduction en Bourse, Amundi a signé le 23 octobre un contrat de crédit revolving syndiqué multidevises d’un montant de 1,75 milliard d’euros avec un syndicat international de prêteurs, d’une maturité initiale de cinq ans, a révélé Bloomberg cité par L’Agefi. Ce contrat s’inscrit dans un dispositif global qui sera finalisé au premier trimestre 2016 et vise à faire payer le coût de décalages violents de prix à ceux qui en seraient à l’origine.

The fund, denominated in euros, allows investors to profit from potential gains on the European equity markets, while reducing risks of loss through an innovative dynamic hedging programme. The fund also carries a bank guarantee issued by Nomura Bank International. The fund is part of the Nomura Alternative Investment Management UCITS range, which is based on advising from Quantam SA, a quantitative asset management firm based in France and the United States.

As of 30 September 2015, ETP activities at Janus represented assets of about USD3.5bn, distributed over 17 investment products. In all categories combined, assets under management at Janus totalled about USD185bn.

This is the second investment for the fund since its launch in first quarter 2014. In November 2014, Nexus 1 purchased a building intended for offices in the vicinity of the central station in the capital of Lombardy, leased in its entirety to a company of the Accor group. The Nexus 1 fund is a semi-open, Italian-registered real estate investment fund aimed at professional investors, whose investment policy is to acquire non-residential real estate properties located mainly in Milan and Rome, The fund may use up to 50% leverage. The value of the properties owned by the fund totals about EUR120m, EUR60m of which is financed with a line of mortgage credit.

Consolidated net profits at Azimut totalled EUR208.1m, up 68% compared with the corresponding period of 2014. These are the best profit results in the history of Azimut.

Scauri will manage a sub-fund of the Luxembourg Sicav from Pharus Management, for which Banca Ifigest has obtained a management mandate, and which will invest in equities from southern Europe. The arrival of Scauri comes as part of a growth and reinforcement plan for Banca Ifigest, which aims to become a “banking boutique” of reference in asset management. Scauri had previously worked at Mediobanca, where he was most recently director of the industrial team, covering oil and gas companies and the household consumer goods sector.

The operation will be completed by 31 December 2015. A statement says that Axion will take on a portion of the personnel when the operation is completed. However, the statement does not provide any details about the amount of assets taken on or the sale price.

Rothschild has announced that Bert Nordberg will join Rothschild as a senior adviser and member of the board of Rothschild Nordic AB with effect from 2 November 2015. He joins Rothschild from a position as president and CEO of Sony Mobile Communications. Bert joined Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications in 2009 following thirteen years at Ericsson where he was executive vice president and head of Ericsson Silicon Valley. Bert is chairman of Vestas and Imagination Technologies and a member of the boards of Electrolux, SCA, Axis and Sigma Connectivity.

In third quarter alone, inflows were negative, with redemptions of GBP0.5bn, compared with inflows of GBP2.2bn in third quarter 2014. Asstes under management at Schroders as of 30 September totalled GBP294.8bn, down compared with the beginning of the year. As of the end of December, Schroders had GBP300bn in assets under management. The decline in assets is due to a negative market effect of GBP13.5bn in the first nine months of the year, and GBP14.6bn in third quarter. Asset management attracted GBP8.1bn between January and the end of September, while wealth management has attracted GBP200m. The four recruits will work from London to consolidate development of high net worth clients, including the high net worth (HNWI) and ultra-high net worth (UHNWI) segments, and will also be responsible for relationships with major families. All four of them will report to David Durlacher, head of customer relationships. Annabel Bosman, who is appointed as managing director senior adviser, has more than 18 years of experience in advising high net worth clients, the past six of them at Deutsche Bank. Damien Crommie, executive director, has for the past 13 years dealt with HNWI and UHNWI clients, including five years at Deutsche Bank. Matthew Garnham, director, has been managing the wealth of high net worth clients for 10 years, three of them at Deutsche Bank. Jamie Banks, executive director, joins Julius Baer after seven years at Deutsche Bank, where he had been responsible for wealth planning and tax questions.
Allianz Global Investors has hired Tim Bird as a director in its UK institutional sales & client servicing team. Mr Bird, who will be based in London, will report to Philip Dawes, head of UK institutional at Allianz Global Investors.Mr Bird joins Allianz Global Investors having previously spent 4-years at T Rowe Price, as part of the institutional relationship management team for UK & Ireland. Prior to that, he also held positions at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, HSBC Asset Management and Mercury Asset Management.

Smart Beta Brand 2.0 will invest at least 45% of its assets in ETFs from iShares, while the remainder may be invested in actively-managed funds and government or corporate bonds.

Les Etats-Unis sont prêts à fournir une garantie pour un prêt de 1 milliard de dollars à l’Ukraine en fonction de progrès accomplis dans le domaine de la lutte contre l corruption et en matière de réforme fiscale, a annoncé hier la Maison blanche. Cette promesse a été faite par le vice-président Joe Biden lors d’une conversation téléphonique avec le président ukrainien Petro Porochenko. La Banque européenne de reconstruction et de développement (Berd) a annoncé hier soir avoir reçu une demande d’adhésion de la Chine, sur laquelle se prononceront ses actionnaires en décembre. Son conseil d’administration, dominé par les pays du G7, va vraisemblablement recommander la semaine prochaine aux actionnaires de se prononcer en faveur de cette entrée. En mai dernier, la Berd s’était dit disposée à coopérer sur des projets avec la Chine et sa nouvelle Banque asiatique d’investissement dans les infrastructures (AIIB). Selon un responsable de la Berd, la Chine a sondé l’institution européenne en août et a déposé sa demande officielle d’adhésion après la récente visite du président Xi Jingping à Londres, où se trouve le siège de la banque. Pékin devrait en particulier s’intéresser aux activités de la Berd au Kazakhstan voisin, où la banque s’apprête à investir un milliard d’euros dans les prochaines années pour aider au projet de «route de la soie».
Compte tenu d’un taux d’inflation qui s’est élevé en rythme annuel à 3,1% au mois de septembre, la banque centrale norvégienne a annoncé hier qu’elle maintenait son principal taux directeur inchangé à 0,75%. Si les effets de la baisse des prix et des investissements dans le pétrole se font sentir sur l’économie, l’institut d’émission relève que «le taux de change de la couronne a été plus faible qu’anticipé». Elle ajoute qu’une politique budgétaire plus expansionniste devrait contribuer à soutenir la demande intérieure.
