This mandate has allowed Egamo to reach a total volume of assets under management of EUR7.3bn,” a statement says. UMR would like to be a participant in the strategy of Egamo and to contribute to the improvement of technical and human resources deployed to manage its assets. Following the awarding of a mandate, the shareholders of Egamo, the group MGEN (64%) of capital, OFI Partenaires (16%), offered UMR an opportunity to enter the capital of the asset management firm. A transfer of equities was carried out on 3 July 2013.Meanwhile, two representatives of UMR have joined the board of directors at Egamo: Alain Hernandez and Bernard Goujon, respectively chairman and deputy head of UMR.

L’Espagne teste l’intérêt des investisseurs pour sa dette en proposant des emprunts à 15 ans à 280 points de base au dessus de la courbe des swaps, rapporte Reuters. L’Autorité des marchés financiers a lancé une mise en garde contre les activités de la société BHFrance dont le siège social est situé à Londres. BHFrance propose à des investisseurs, de signer des conventions afin d’intervenir pour leur compte sur les marchés des changes, des actions, des futures et options, notamment sur matières premières. Devant la Commission des affaires économiques et monétaires du Parlement européen, le président de la Banque centrale européenne a estimé que le projet de taxe sur les transactions financières, porté par onze pays européens, pourrait compliquer la tâche de l’institut d’émission da ns l’exécution d’une politique monétaire efficace. En réponse à des questions de parlementaires, Mario Draghi, qui est aussi président du Conseil européen du risque systémique, a ajouté que la BCE n’avait pas d’avis formel sur cette proposition de taxation mais qu’il voyait néanmoins la TTF comme ayant des «implications indésirables pour la politique monétaire». Mario Draghi a par ailleurs estimé qu’un relèvement des taux d’intérêt de la BCE n'était pas justifié actuellement et risquerait de déstabiliser l'économie. La roupie indienne remontait légèrement ce matin contre dollar suite à la décision prise hier soir par la banque centrale du pays d’interdire les opérations de trading pour compte propre sur les marchés dérivés de change. La devise a enregistré une chute vertigineuse de 10% contre le billet vert sur les trois derniers mois. «L’impact de cette mesure sera seulement temporaire», estime néanmoins Patrick Bennett, stratégiste chez Imperial Bank of Commerce.
L’indice des prix à la consommation en Chine a progressé à un rythme annuel de 2,7% au mois de juin, après 2,1% en mai. La hausse des prix alimentaires a atteint 4,9%, après 3,2%. Malgré cette accélération de la hausse des prix, l’inflation demeure néanmoins toujours inférieure à l’objectif de 3,5% visé par la Banque Populaire de Chine, ainsi qu’au taux de dépôt de 3%.

La société américaine de private equity rachète à Charterhouse l’éditeur spécialisé dans les contenus éducatifs TSL Education pour un montant non précisé. Selon des sources citées par Reuters, l’offre valoriserait TSL autour de 400 millions de livres. L’opération permet à TPG de mettre la main sur un réseau de 52 millions d’enseignants. Elle devrait être bouclée au troisième trimestre de 2013.
Baptisé ONDE, ce nouvel extranet sécurisé doit favoriser le dépôt de l’information réglementée des sociétés cotées et les déclarations des transactions effectuées par les dirigeants sur les titres de leur société. Le service s’adresse aux sociétés qui ne recourent pas à un diffuseur professionnel, la banque des communiqués n’étant plus en service.
La société de private equity a selon Bloomberg renoncé à lever un fonds d’infrastructure de deux milliards d’euros faute d’avoir réussi à attirer des investisseurs. CVC, qui avait débuté la levée de fonds en 2008, a autorisé trois investisseurs extérieurs qui s’étaient engagés à se retirer du projet. Pour des projets d’infrastructure, CVC compte désormais solliciter les investisseurs sur la base d’un deal après l’autre.
Hedge Fund Research a indiqué que les fonds alternatifs avaient concédé en juin leur premier mois de performance négative depuis huit mois. Les hedge funds, dont les actifs sont évalués à 2.250 milliards de dollars dans le monde, affichent le mois dernier une perte de 1,3%. Le gain est de 3,6% sur le premier semestre, bien loin des 12,6% engrangés par le S&P500.
Le numéro un mondial de la gestion obligataire, propriété d’Allianz, a subi en juin son pire mois en termes de retraits. La décollecte nette sur les mutual funds de Pimco outre-Atlantique a en effet atteint selon Morningstar sur le mois écoulé quelque 14,5 milliards de dollars. Il s’agit du premier mois dans le rouge depuis décembre 2011.
La surface de bureaux louée au deuxième trimestre diminue sur un an, tout comme les investissements, passés de 4,5 à 3,5 milliards d’euros sur la période, selon Immostat. Plusieurs experts du secteur estiment que d’ici à la fin de l’année quelque 2 millions de m² devraient être placés.
Le quotidien souligne que le secteur mondial de la gestion d’actifs «renoue avec les profits d’avant-crise», à en croire les résultats du baromètre annuel dressé par le Boston Consulting Group (BCG) au terme d’une enquête comparative portant sur 120 acteurs du secteur représentant 53% de l’encours mondial. Cet encours a progressé l’an passé de 9% à 44.300 milliards de dollars. La rentabilité des gestionnaires s’est améliorée, avec un bénéfice imposable s’élevant à 37% des revenus nets. «C’est presque aussi bien que les 38% de rentabilité que le secteur avait atteints avant la crise», relève le quotidien. La collecte affiche pourtant un taux encore bien inférieur à celui d’avant-crise.
Le China Securities Journal indique que la Chine aurait tout intérêt à prendre des mesures «en temps appropriés» afin de déprécier la valeur du yuan de manière à soutenir le commerce extérieur et la croissance du pays. Le Securities Daily confirme en outre la prévision de ralentissement de la croissance de l’économie chinoise au deuxième trimestre à 7,5%.
