Total expense ratio (TER) is limited to 0.50% and 0.60%, respectively. Minimal subscription is set at USD1m for each fund. The new fund may invest in all bond markets worldwide, in the context of a volatility risk centred on about 4%. Guernsey’s fund servicing industry fell by less than 4% to reach USD278.7 billion at the end of June 2010, with the total number of funds and subfunds standing at 1,949, says Lipper.Encouragingly non-domiciled funds serviced in Guernsey rose again to reach US$42.3 billion. Le gestionnaire d’actifs, qui a racheté l’an dernier Barclays Global Investors pour 13,5 milliards de dollars, a chiffré à 50,1 milliards de dollars le volume net de nouvelles activités au troisième trimestre. Le compte-rendu de la réunion des 6 et 7 octobre pourrait laisser à penser que la banque centrale s’oriente vers de nouvelles mesures d’assouplissement monétaire. Les avis divergent au sein du comité de politique monétaire de la Banque d’Angleterre (BoE), l’un de ses membres, Adam Posen demandant la reprise des mesures de relance, un autre, Andrew Sentance, appelant une nouvelle fois à un relèvement des taux, alors que sept membres ont voté pour le statu quo.
La croissance de l'économie irlandaise l’an prochain sera moins forte que prévu, a déclaré mercredi le ministre des Finances, Brian Lenihan. Des responsables gouvernementaux ont affirmé mardi que le plan d’austérité devrait prévoir jusqu'à 2,5 milliards d’euros supplémentaires d'économies d’ici 2014, le projet avancé jusqu'à lors étant insuffisant pour réduire le déficit.
Le groupe espagnol Realia discute avec la Société foncière lyonnaise (SFL), filiale de Colonial en vue d’une entrée de cette dernière dans le capital de sa propre filiale française, SIIC de Paris. Realia a ajouté qu’il informerait le marché lorsqu’il serait assuré de l’accord définitif de Foncière lyonnaise. Reuters indique que SFL pourrait rentrer à hauteur de plus de 30% dans le capital de son concurrent. L’opération se ferait par apport d’actifs immobiliers pour une valeur d’un peu moins de 300 millions d’euros. L’entrée de SFL devrait ramener la participation de Realia dans SIIC de Paris à moins de 60%, ce qui lui permettrait de réintégrer le régime SIIC de transparence fiscale. La cotation de SFL a été suspendue en début de séance. La capitalisation boursière de SIIC de Paris est d’environ 530 millions d’euros et celle de SFL de 1,64 milliard d’euros.
Selon les dernières estimations de Preqin, environ 96 milliards de dollars restent disponibles pour des investissements en hedge funds chez les investisseurs institutionnels qui se lancent sur cette classe d’actifs ou qui désirent augmenter leur exposition, rapporte Hedge Week. Hormis les assureurs, tous les groupes d’investisseurs ont augmenté leur allocation aux hedge funds en 2009-2010, l’augmentation moyenne représentant 1,2 % de l’encours total.Une grande partie de ces nouveaux capitaux ira aux fonds mono-gérants, Preqin ayant observé cette année une tendance à sortir des fonds de hedge funds au profit des investissements directs.Cependant le portefeuille de 50 % des fonds de pension reste composé uniquement de participations dans des fonds de hedge funds, contre 10 % pour les fondations (endowments).
