La société de gestion allemande Internos a annoncé le deuxième closing de son Hotel Real Estate Fund I. D’un montant de 210 millions d’euros, cette levée de fonds fait suite à une première de 75 millions d’euros. De nouveaux engagements d’une valeur de 135 millions d’euros, issus de trois nouveaux investisseurs de fonds de pension allemands ont été enregistrés ainsi que des engagements supplémentaires des quatre investisseurs dont les capitaux engagés lors du premier closing (75 millions d’euros) a doublé. Depuis son lancement en juillet 2012, le fonds a acquis ou s’est engagéeà acquérir sept hôtels en Allemagne, en Autriche et aux Pays-Bas pour environ 200 millions d’euros. Internos escompte atteindre les 250 millions d’euros dans les 6 prochains mois et 400 millions d’euros d’actifs sous gestion d’ici fin 2014..Dans sa première année d’exploitation, le fonds a versé des dividendes de de 8 %, dépassant ainsi les objectifs du placement.Le fonds hôtel est structuré comme «Spezialfonds».
Le liechtensteinois VP Bank a annoncé l’acquisition par ses filiales VP Bank (Luxembourg) SA et par VPB Finance SA des activités de banque privée de HSBC Trinkaus & Burkhardt (International) SA ainsi que l’activité de fonds d’investissement liée à la banque privée de HSBC Trinkaus Investment Managers SA. La transaction, dont les modalités financières n’ont pas été dévoilées, doit être bouclée avant la fin de cette année. Les 20 personnes concernées rejoindront VP Bank.L’opération concerne a priori un encours de 2,5 milliards de francs suisses au 30 juin 2013.

La Caisse de pension de la fonction publique du canton de Neuchâtel (2,8 milliards de francs suisses d’actifs sous gestion) a effectué son premier investissement dans le private equity. Un investissement a aussi été effectué sur l’or alors que les discussions concernant les placements de la poche immobilier international ont été repoussées. La caisse de retraite collabore avec Coninco Advisory pour la stratégie et Synopsis Asset Management pour le conseil en allocation tactique. Suite à un appel d’offres, les premiers investissements en private equity ont été réalisés. Une nouvelle exposition sur l’or a été intégrée aux placements sur les matières premières, a indiqué le dernier rapport annuel du fonds, sans pour autant divulguer qui a été retenu pour gérer les actifs. La Caisse de pension de la fonction publique du canton de Neuchâtel a opéré à 2 changements de gérants : un gestionnaire dédié à l’investissement sur les actions suisses et un gestionnaire en charge des investissements sur les actions internationales, leurs noms n’ont pas été divulgués. Par ailleurs, le rapport indique que le fonds a l’intention de discuter de sa poche immobilier à l’international, jusqu’alors délaissée au profit de la poche immobilier suisse. Le rapport ajoute également que le fonds n’a pas pris de décisions importantes en matière d’immobilier international indirect car cette classe d’actifs n’a pas été entièrement allouée pour l’instant. À la fin de 2012, la poche immobilier international représentait 0.6 % des actifs alors que l’objectif était d’atteindre 3 %.
L’assureur Allianz France annonce qu’il investit 40 M€ dans le fonds Novo présenté par le ministre de l’Economie et des Finances, Pierre Moscovici, le 10 juillet 2013. Ce dispositif destiné à encourager le financement des petites et moyennes entreprises (PME) et des entreprises de taille intermédiaire (ETI) non cotées, est soutenu par 18 assureurs dont Allianz France, ainsi que par la Caisse des dépôts et le Fonds de réserve des retraites. Dans un premier temps, le fonds structuré en deux compartiments sera doté d’un milliard d’euros, chacun des investisseurs impliqués ne pouvant allouer plus de 100 M€. Ce dispositif, qui a nécessité une réforme du Code des assurances, devrait permettre à 30 ou 40 entreprises de souscrire des prêts obligataires d’un montant de 10 M€ à 50 M€, à taux fixe, sur une durée de 5 à 7 ans.
Le fonds de pension des salariés du secteur public californien a dévoilé une performance de gestion de 12,5% sur son exercice à fin juin, supérieure de 1,5 point à celle de son indice de référence, sur fond de bonne tenue des actions internationales ou de l’immobilier. Le montant des actifs de Calpers s’élève à quelque 260 milliards de dollars.
Carlo Cottarelli, directeur de la division des affaires fiscales du FMI, a souligné que l’instauration d’une taxe sur les transactions financières en France et en Italie avait entraîné un repli des volumes de transaction. In first half, profits increased 27%, to USD987m.Between the beginning of April and the end of June this year, JPMorgan poted long-term net subscriptions of USD25bn, for a 17th consecutive quarter of net inflows. Assets under management as of 30 June, at USD1.5trn, were up year on year by USD123bn, or 9%, due both to net subscription to long-term products and to market effects, partially compensated by net outflows from money market products.In the twelve months to the end of June, net subscriptions totalled USD67bn, due to USD84bn in net inflows to long-term products, minus USD17bn in net outflows from money markets. They are the heaviest redemptions since USD105.6bn in October 2008. The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has launched a Discussion Paper to prepare the regulatory technical standards (RTS) which will implement provisions of the European Markets Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR) regarding the obligation to centrally clear OTC derivatives.The consultation is aimed at assisting ESMA in developing its approach to determining which classes of OTC derivatives need to be centrally cleared and the phase-in periods for the counterparties concerned.The Discussion Paper is open for feedback until 12 September 2013.

Banca March thus avoids letting Inversis fall into the hands of a direct competitor, as BPA is the parent company of Banco Madrid.Banca March had previously controlled 5% of Inversis, compared with 38.4% for Bankia, 15.1% for Sabadell, 12.98% for Indra, 9.9% for El Corte Inglés, 8.9% for Cajamar, and 5.2% for Telefónica.At the same time, Banca March has announced that it has signed an agreement to resell the retail banking activities of Banco Inversis to Andbank (a rival of BPA) for EUR179.8m.Once the deal is done, Banca March will sell a 50% stake in Banco Inversis to the Portuguese group Orey Antunes.Inversis has assets under management of EUR40.6bn, of which EUR4.5bn are for retail investors.
