L’autorité de régulation des marchés financiers en Chine (CSRC) a annoncé qu’elle allait contrôler le rythme des introductions en Bourse (IPO) afin de limiter la volatilité des places boursières chinoises, qui ont plongé de près de 10% cette semaine. «Nous allons prendre des dispositions rationnelles en ce qui concerne les autorisations d’IPO afin de garantir une transition en douceur du système d’approbation au système d’enregistrement», a déclaré Deng Ge, porte-parole de la CSRC, au cours d’un point presse. La CSRC dit préparer des règles inspirées par le système américain.

L’économie américaine devrait avoir enregistré une croissance de 0,8% en rythme annualisé au quatrième trimestre 2015, indique le modèle de prévisions GDPNow de la Réserve fédérale d’Atlanta. La Fed régionale a ainsi revu en baisse son estimation publiée mercredi, qui donnait la croissance des trois derniers mois de l’année à 1%, suite à l’annonce d’une baisse de 0,3% des stocks des grossistes en novembre. Il estime que la baisse des stocks équivaut à une contribution négative de 0,8 point à la variation du PIB au quatrième trimestre, contre -0,6 point dans l’estimation de mercredi.

Selon les Echos, les commissaires européens débattront mercredi de l’opportunité d’accorder à la Chine le statut d’économie de marché. Lors de son accession à l’OMC en 2015, la Chine s’était vu donner 15 ans pour devenir une économie de marché. L’absence de ce statut facilite l’imposition de droits de douane supplémentaires par l’Europe. Balayant les craintes des industriels européens, qui expliquent que la délivrance de ce statut n’est pas automatique, le service juridique de la Commission aurait indiqué que rien ne s’opposait à accorder ce statut à Pékin.

Net inflows to investment funds in third quarter fell to EUR230bn, from a peak of nearly EUR600bn in second quarter, due to a very steep decline in net inflows to long-term funds (excluding money market funds), according to statistics released by the European fund and asset management association (EFAMA).Long-term funds attracted only EUR49bn in third quarter, compared with EUR616bn in second quarter. This development is largely due to net outflows of EUR34n from diversified funds, which attracted EUR342bn in second quarter. Inflows to equity funds, for their part, fell fro EUR121bn in second quarter to EUR79bn in third quarter, while bond funds finished third quarter with outflows of EUR21bn, though they had attracted EUR101bn in second quarter.Money market funds finished the quarter with net inflows of EUR181bn, after net outflows of EUR20bn in second quarter.In all categories combined, assets in funds worldwide fell 5.9% in third quarter, to a total of EUR34.9trn as of the end of September 2015, compared with EUR37.1trn as of the end of June.
