Following a meeting of the supervisory board at Edmond de Rothschild (France) on 12 March 2019, Renzo Evangelista has been appointed as chairman of the board, replacing Vincent Taupin, the group announced on Tuesday 9 April in a statement. Evangelista will work to continue the development of Edmond de Rothschild in France for all professional units. Meanwhile, the family group has announced the appointment of Philippe Cieutat as CEO of Edmond de Rothschild France. The announcements come on the heels of a reshuffle in March, which saw the French entity absorbed into Edmond de Rothschild (Suisse), the removal of the group from public trading, and the appointment of Vincent Taupin as CEO of the group. Evangelista, 48, who has been director of private banking at Edmond de Rothschild (France) since 1 January 2017, holds a DESS degree in business and tax law from the Université Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne. He began his career in 1996 as a wealth manager at BGPI, where he participated in the development of a product range for entrepreneurs. In 2000, he joined Edmond de Rothschild as a private banker, and then formed the family office in 2006, where he is director. From 2012, he becomes director of a new team. Cieutat, 42,began his career in 2002 as an auditor for the financial sector at Mazars, and then in 2005 joined the general inspection unit at HSBC France as an inspector, and later as director of missions. He joined HSBC Global Asset Management (France) in 2009 as CFO and a member of the executive board for the asset management profession. In 2013, he was appointed as director of strategy and organisation at HSBC France and as a member of the executive board. He joined Edmond de Rothschild (France) in September 2014 as administrative and financial director and a member of the executive board. He had been a member of the board at Edmond de Rothschild (France) since 2014.
