Le 25 février, la CNMV a enregistré neuf fonds lancés par le suisse Bellevue Asset Management, filiale de Bellevue Group. L’organisme commercialisateur pour l’Espagne est Banco Inversis.Les fonds, des compartiments de la sicav luxembourgeoise, sont les suivants : BB African Opportunities, BB Biotech, BB Entrepreneur Europe, BB European Opportunities, BB Global Macro, BB Healthcare, BB Meditech, BB Selection et BB Silk Road Opportunities.
Le compartiment BGF European Income de la sicav luxembourgeoise BlackRock Global Funds (61 fonds) vient d’obtenir de la CNMV l’agrément de commercialisation en Espagne, rapporte Funds People. Ce produit, qui vise une performance moyenne annuelle d’au moins 110 % du MSCI Europe, est géré par Andreas Zoellinger et Alice Gaskell. Il investit, en «bottom up», au moins 70 % de son portefeuille (40-70 lignes) dans des entreprises domiciliées en Europe ou dont l’essentiel de l’activité s’effectue sur le Vieux Continent.
Selon Asian Investor, CCB International Asset Management, qui fait partie de la China Consruction Bank International à Hong Kong, vient de lancer un fonds obligataire libellé en renminbi.Le fonds investira en priorité dans des instruments libellés en renminbi émis à Hong Kong et ne comprendra pas d’obligations synthétiques ou de produits structurés.
L’Italian Fund Hub, la plate-forme Internet censée rassembler les données des fonds des sociétés de gestion membres d’Assogestioni, l’association italienne des professionnels de la gestion, connaît un succès mitigé, rapporte Plus, le supplément argent d’Il Sole – 24 Ore. En effet, sur 74 groupes financiers inscrits à l’association, seulement 18 ont pour le moment divulgué des informations sur ce site. Et parmi eux figurent les principaux acteurs du secteur : Eurizon Capital, Generali, Pioneer, Allianz et Mediolanum. Le coût de l’opération n’est pourtant pas prohibitif : de 1.440 à 7.200 euros par an. L’idée était d’offrir aux investisseurs un endroit unique où obtenir des informations sur les fonds des différentes sociétés de gestion.
Le britannique M&G Investments propose désormais en Allemagne le nouveau fonds M&G European Inflation Corporate Bond Fund géré par Jim Leaviss et Ben Lord qui investit en obligations d’entreprises «investment grade» et dont l’objectif consiste à générer au minimum une performance équivalente au taux d’inflation européen, rapporte Das Investment.
Schroders Allemagne a entamé la distribution en Allemagne du compartiment European Small & Mid Cap Value de sa sicav luxembourgeoise Schroder ISF lancé le 30 novembre 2010 et qui s’appuie sur l’historique de performance de sept ans dans la gestion d’un fonds de droit suisse similaire. Le gérant reste le même : il s’agit de Caspar Benz, auquel est adjoint Daniel Lenz comme co-gérant.Comme son nom l’indique, ce fonds value se focalise sur les petites et moyennes entreprises européennes, y compris celles des pays d’Europe centrale et orientale ainsi que les firmes russes, avec des capitalisations comprises entre 500 millions et 10 milliards d’euros. Dans une lettre aux porteurs, le gestionnaire allemand KanAm aurait annoncé que le gel des remboursements de son fonds immobilier offert au public grundinvest sera probablement reconduit pour une année supplémentaire après le 6 mai 2011, rapporte la Börsen-Zeitung. Cette démarche s’expliquerait par des dépréciations d’actifs, des charges fiscales, une mauvaise performance (0,3 % pour 2010) et les changements législatifs en préparation.
L’association allemande BVI des sociétés de gestion a annoncé le 28 février avoir admis comme nouvel adhérent IntReal International Real Estate Kapitalanlagegesellschaft mbH, filiale à 100 % de Warburg-Henderson KAG, qui gère cinq fonds immobiliers offerts au public avec un encours de 338,5 millions d’euros (fin 2010). A compter du 1er mars, Wulf Matthias, membre du directoire de Credit Suisse Deutschland, rejoint au 1er mars la Banque Sarasin à Francfort pour servir la clientèle privée très haut de gamme (Ultra High Net Worth Individuals ou UNHWI) et les family offices en Allemagne. Basé à Francfort, il sera directement subordonné à Frank Niehage, président du directoire de Banque Sarasin.La banque privée suisse dispose d’une succurcale à Nuremberg depuis octubre 2009. Elle a récemment indiqué être le premier prestataire étranger de services financiers en Allemagne à avoir atteint le point mort avant que trois ans ne se soient écoulés depuis l’obtention de sa licence bancaire «pleine».
Angel Oak Capital Advisors, société de gestion basée à Atlanta, va lancer son premier mutual fund, un fonds obligataire. La société, qui est dirigée par Screeni Prabhu, Michael Fierman et Brad Friedlander, des anciens de Washington Mutual, gère 165 millions de dollars, précise Mutual Fund Wire.
BlackRock a annoncé jeudi un dividende en hausse de 37,5 % par rapport au trimestre précédent, à 1,375 dollar par action. Ce dividende sera distribué aux actionnaires le 23 mars.

Selon La Tribune, le fonds de pension des employés de police municipale de Louisiane a décidé de poursuivre Nyse-Euronext. Le fonds estime que la transaction proposée avec Deutsche Börse ne valorisait pas à son juste prix l’opérateur transatlantique.
Au titre de 2010, bellevue Group affiche un bénéfice net de 1,53 million de francs suisses contre une perte de 95,06 millions pour 2009, mais le coefficient d’exploitation s’est dégradé à 91,4 % contre 85,2 %.En fin d’année, l’encours total avait diminué à 4,1 milliards de francs contre 4,85 milliards. Les sorties nettes sont ressorties à 526 millions de francs contre 520 millions.La filiale Bellevue Asset Management a pour sa part accusé une perte de 2,3 millions de francs contre 1,4 million. La banque privée genevoise Pictet a communiqué les encours qu’elle gérait et administrait au 31 décembre 2010. Le montant total a reculé de 4,1% à 372 milliards de francs sur douze mois, indique Le Temps. En 2009, la hausse avait été de 24,1%.Hors avoirs administrés, les actifs gérés pour les clientèles privée et institutionnelle stagnent à 250,178 milliards (-0,3% sur un an), après un gain de 21,3% en 2009.
Depuis le 24 février, le London Stock Exchange (LSE) cote quatre ETF supplémentaires de Credit Suisse. Finma holds the bank responsible “due to insufficient internal organisation and control of IT activities.” The investigation, opened in March 2010, sought to determine how a data theft of such a scale could have taken place and been carried out, Finma announced on Monday. According to figures from the bank, 15,000 of its clients were affected by the data theft, committed by Hervé Falciani, a French former IT technician. In addition to this, 9,000 closed accounts were compromised. In light of the findings of the investigation, Finma requires that “HSBC continue in the direction it has begun, and complete the process of putting in place necessary measures to establish the required IT security.” Finma will monitor these measures, and “will oversee their establishment without delay.”

Net outflows totalled CHF526m, compared with CHF520m.The group’s affiliate Bellevue Asset Management, for its part, saw losss of CHF2.3m, compared with CHF1.4m. Aberdeen Asset Management has created a fund providing dedicated exposure to local currency short duration Asian bonds.The Aberdeen Global – Asian Local Currency Short Duration Bond Fund is domiciled in Luxembourg and managed by Aberdeen’s Asian Fixed Income team in Singapore which manages over USD6.4 billion in assets.The fund will invest mostly in sovereign bonds, across as many as ten different countries in Asia ex-Japan, with an expected initial duration of less than 1.65 years (making it relatively insulated from current inflation threats). The average credit rating will be A-minus. The benchmark will be the iBoxx – Asia ex Japan sovereign 1-3 years index.

As correlation falls, fund of fund managers say in the most recent survey by Standard & Poor’s, hedge funds may generate alpha due to the dispersion between sectors and businesses. Funds of funds finished 2010 in a good position, with gains of 3.5% in fourth quarter, and returns of 5% for the year, according to statistics from HFN.

As a part of the partnership, NTR will provide market analysis to the investment team, and will have an economic interest in some of the products of the new investment platform. The CEO of NTR, Jim Barry, will serve as chief investment officer of the new BAI unit, and will be in charge of developing the platform.

The Select UK Income Bond Fund is a UCITS-compliant vehicle, which will be managed by Mike Amey, and which will aim for gross returns of 5% per year. The fund will invest as a top priority in investment grade rated British assets. About 50% of the allocation is dedicated to ABS and MBS, 30% to investment grade credit (largely from the UK), 10% to high yield, and 10% to emerging markets debt.
