Several other statistics to be produced
In addition to the synthetic risk indicator, the KIID (key investor information document) must contain several other statistical data. First of all, the ongoing charges, which include management fees, transaction-based fees and indirect charges, for example linked to the holding of UCITS by the fund. Therefore, the KIID will include only one line of charges, with any performance commission being added if necessary. In France, the total expense ratio has made it possible previously to distinguish between these different types of charges. Finally, the KIID has to present the annual performances over the last ten calendar years for both the fund and its benchmark, in the form of a histogram. For funds with an insufficient performance history, a five-year histogram is used. This decisive indicator enables investors to judge at a glance the quality of the management.
